Military will get Paid if there is a Shut Down: Billy Long Delivers Good News to the Military

There is some good news coming out of Congress tonight. It looks like a deal has been struck to ensure our men and women in military will get paid if the government shuts down. Congressman Long just tweeted:

We voted to fund the troops until the end of FY11 & cut $12 Billion in a 7 day period, if the Dem's shutdown the Gov't- The Troops get paid!

Could you imagine what would have taken place in this country if the over-inflated egos in Washington (Congress and the Obama administration) were to continue getting paychecks while the military went without. It's already a crime the military gets paid so little that food stamps are now a part of military life.
