The Tea Party needs to find new friends in Washington after last night. Boehner compromises for a meager $39 billion in spending cuts while allowing the federal government to continue funding Planned Parenthood, an organization founded in racial bigotry by eugenicists Margaret Sanger, and allow the EPA to regulate carbon dioxide. The Republicans weren't friends to the Tea Party last night.
So, with Tea Party protests scheduled next week as tax day comes around, we are going to learn a lot about the Tea Party. Will it continue to embrace the Republican establishment, who just sold them out, or will the Tea Party call out the Republicans. (I already know the answer if you attend Tera Sukman's Tea Party Patriot HQ located in Branson, and they don't count.)
If the Tea Party embraces the Republicans after last night, they will have shot themselves in the foot and as Chuck Schumer put it, will be reduced to nothing but an annoying "flea." If they the break ranks with the GOP after Boehner's compromise, things might actually change for the better in American--with even perhaps a worthy third party being formed to combat the Republicans who continue to sell you out and the Democrats who could care less about the Constitution.
I am seeing hope, the Tea Party will call the Republicans out. They need to severe ties permanently, as the Republicans showed quickly this year, could care less about following the Constitution. Remember, Most Republicans voted for the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment killing USA Patriot Act. Many of these same Republicans reprimanded Obama's attack on Libya, and then quickly appeased the industrial military complex with their support. Now we have this compromise. That's three strikes against the GOP. I hope it has awakened the Tea Party.
