Train and Subway Riders Will Soon Face the TSA before Boarding: The TSA May Become Part of your Daily Commute

Having lived in Chicago most of my adult life, I loved getting on an 'L' train to hit the town with few exceptions. However, travelers boarding at the Loop to hit Wrigleyville on the Brown Line may soon may soon find a naked full body scanner at any of the major stations, and they may find themselves receiving the groping of the junk at other stations. It's not just Chicago either. All across the country, commuter trains may soon see the face of the TSA harassing you on your way to work.

The TSA's John Pistole warned in July, "Given the list of threats on subways and rails over the last six years going on seven years, we know that some terrorist groups see rail and subways as being more vulnerable because there's not the type of screening that you find in aviation. From my perspective, that is an equally important threat area."

Could you imagine having to deal with the naked full body scanners and pat downs on your way to work and on your way back home? This is something that needs to be considered and fought before we give up another inch of freedom to the TSA. As you know, Obama is investing heavily into the nation's railways to get more people out of their cars. As well, his goals are to make driving cars more expensive so you are encouraged and forced to take public transportation like commuter trains.

As you can see, the TSA's targeting your city's commuter rails and subway systems. If they are allowed this and Obama meets his goal of taking your car off the road, imagine the power the federal government is going to have over your ability to travel. Not only will you be forced to their train or air schedules, you will also have to comply in order to get on a train or airplane.
