Billy Long Will be a Friend to Monsanto GMO Frankenfood: Don't Count on Long to Fight to Repeal Food Safety Act
Billy Long promised voters he was fed up with Washington, fed up with special interests. His partner in crime against true conservatism Sarah Steelman told voters Billy wouldn't be influenced by special interest. Yet, Billy Long's 48 reports filed with the Federal Election Commission lists one special interest group after another donating to Billy Long's campaign knowing Long will soon "scratch their backs" to repay the favors. I will be going through the list in the coming days in hopes of telling Southwest Missouri voters what to expect when it comes to Long's votes in Congress. Looking at these, the most evil of corporations, Monsanto, no friend to the family farmer, donated to Long's campaign using the friendly patriotic sounding Monsanto Citizenship Fund, and as we know, Billy Long qualifies because he is the "citizen" that's going to Washington.
Monsanto's crimes to life are numerous. Their genetic modifications of God's will is sickening within itself, but there seems to be a cost to humans who consume GMOs.
In a study released by the International Journal of Biological Sciences, analyzing the effects of genetically modified foods on mammalian health, researchers found that agricultural giant Monsanto's GM corn is linked to organ damage in rats.
According to the study, which was summarized by Rady Ananda at Food Freedom, "Three varieties of Monsanto's GM corn - Mon 863, insecticide-producing Mon 810, and Roundup® herbicide-absorbing NK 603 - were approved for consumption by US, European and several other national food safety authorities."
Monsanto gathered its own crude statistical data after conducting a 90-day study, even though chronic problems can rarely be found after 90 days, and concluded that the corn was safe for consumption. The stamp of approval may have been premature, however.
In the conclusion of the IJBS study, researchers wrote:
"Effects were mostly concentrated in kidney and liver function, the two major diet detoxification organs, but in detail differed with each GM type. In addition, some effects on heart, adrenal, spleen and blood cells were also frequently noted. As there normally exists sex differences in liver and kidney metabolism, the highly statistically significant disturbances in the function of these organs, seen between male and female rats, cannot be dismissed as biologically insignificant as has been proposed by others. We therefore conclude that our data strongly suggests that these GM maize varieties induce a state of hepatorenal toxicity....These substances have never before been an integral part of the human or animal diet and therefore their health consequences for those who consume them, especially over long time periods are currently unknown."

Now why would they turn over $2,000 to get in bed with Billy Long. It's simple. Politicians are good at pulling strings for the FDA. Get the FDA to turn a blind eye to the research, and Monsanto increases its reign around the world destroying what God made good and replacing it with what Monsanto sees dollar signs with.
No greater example of this comes from the federal government than how Monsanto pushed through aspartame through the FDA through one of its subsidiaries. The FDA sent the product to market knowing it was dangerous because after years of it failing to meet government safety standards, they hired Donald Rumsfeld to pull the strings to get it through the FDA. Nothing changed about the make of aspartame, which you know as NutraSweet, or its dangers to life, but what did change is a political heavyweight bullied the FDA while being paid by the subsidiary.
Of course, this is why they are filling the pockets of politicians like Billy Long. Long who claims to be this pro-life champion will sell his soul to a company that isn't pro-life when you expand the term to include playing with the blueprints of life. What Monsanto does is controversial, and when you compare it to and show the similarities of cloning humans and altering their genetic codes to custom make humans to perfection, Monsanto should cause the same outrage with pro-life conservatives in the same manner human altercations raise eyebrows. It's really a double standard.
So we have it, Billy Long will soon be scratching the back of Monsanto, who is growing more powerful over the world's food supply with their bully tactics that are wiping out family farmers across the country. The very idea you can patent life in the United States with the federal government should upset every God loving American, especially when you consider the words of the Declaration of Independence. From a founder's view, we are violating the laws of nature and its God by allowing man to patent and change God's laws of nature. Our new Congressman will turn a blind eye because he knows Monsanto helped pay the campaign bills.
