How Much Longer Before Homeland Security Roams Our Malls: Shopping Malls Sound More Like Bombed Out Beirut this Christmas Season

There are too many stories today of violence in malls and in stores across the nation. We have stories of shoppers cramming into stores stepping on anyone who will get in the way. We have stories of shoppers fighting each other in the stores. We have a stabbed Marine who was simply collecting toys for the Toys for Tots program. We have a mall in California on lock down after gun shots were fired. There was a shopper arrested for packing guns and pepper grenades into the Mall. Do I need to go on?

This doesn't sound like the United States. It sounds more like a crazed third world country where warlords fight for shipments of food, except the food in this case is junk made in China.

I write this knowing the federal government has no right to police our neighborhoods and towns. They really don't even have a Constitutional right to be in our airports in the form of the TSA either. We are slowly becoming an oppressive police state in America, and these incidents are fueling the fire for the Department of Homeland Security and their desires to spread the TSA into our commuter train stations, bus stations, and other locations. If they are willing to go that far to police Americans simply trying to get to work, what is stopping them from setting up naked body scanners at Malls and other places?

I know it may sound a little crazy, but our federal government is out of control right now and they are looking to expand their powers. Once this nonsense starts, it's hard to push back.
