The above story is a recent story about Ozark High School and the International Baccalaureate. Notice what Ozark School Board President Chuck Fugate says last two paragraphs. If the IB doesn't serve our community we won't sustain it. This shows how careless the Ozark School Board is when Ozark residents tax dollars. Let me explain.
It's costing Ozark High School $10,000 just to apply the program, and all the while teachers are being told to get passports to fly to Europe to train in the IB agenda as well as attending high-priced conferences. The money is starting to add up in this great little IB experiment; yet, when a parent raises a concern, few on the administration want to address it, and if they do, they address it using the play book provided by the International Baccalaureate. It just seems the school board is being careless considering how they have kept parents out of the debate and continues to throw money at the IB, and now even Chuck Fugate on the record says the IB may not be for Ozark. How many tens of thousands of dollars, if not more, are going to be spent by the school board as even Fugate now appears to have doubts?
Notice Fugate says "If it is" a quality program? You mean he doesn't know as your tax dollars head to Europe?
