Donald Trump Continues to Question Obama's Birth Certificate

I am trying to figure out what Donald Trump hopes to gain by challenging Barack Obama on his birth certificate. The controversial birth certificate, or lack of, has been a minor thorn in Obama's side, but not a thorn any major Republican political figure has taken on--until now if you consider The Donald a serious candidate for the presidency.

In recent weeks, Trump has called for Obama to produce his birth certificate. Today, Trump produced his while asking to see Obama's one more time.

“Now, this guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t,” Trump said. “And I didn't think this was such a big deal, but I will tell you, it’s turning out to be a very big deal because people now are calling me from all over saying, please don't give up on this issue."


Obama's birth certificate isn't the key to getting the White House. I am sure Trump knows this. It's the economy stupid, right?

Trump released his birth certificate to avoid any controversy, although one liberal site is attacking the birth certificate. At least there is a birth certificate to question, right?
