Obama Explains to America Why He Took Us to War in Libya

"To brush aside America's responsibility as a leader and — more profoundly — our responsibilities to our fellow human beings under such circumstances would have been a betrayal of who we are," Obama said. "Some nations may be able to turn a blind eye to atrocities in other countries. The United States of America is different. And as president, I refused to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action."

Two questions:

1. Obama didn't attack Iran when there was an uprising. Why now?

2. Obama ignores the Constitution which says the military is to be used for "common defense." What part of his attack qualifies as common defense of our Republic?

Obama seems to pick and choose which slaughters he will tolerate like he picks and chooses what part of the Constitution he will follow, which basically comes down to the 16th Amendment and the 16th Amendment only.
