To All The People Who Are Arrogant Enough to Change Conditions on Earth

I find it arrogant that man believes he holds the key to change conditions on earth, especially after reading an October 2006 article that cites there have been at least four periods of natural warming on the earth that led to mass extinction. So for all the people arrogant enough man is that powerful to alter the conditions on earth, try this one. The most powerful earthquake to ever hit Japan (8.9) moved the island eight feet north.

"At this point, we know that one GPS station moved (8 feet), and we have seen a map from GSI (Geospatial Information Authority) in Japan showing the pattern of shift over a large area is consistent with about that much shift of the land mass," said Kenneth Hudnut, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
