Let's hope there has been an improvement in Billy Long's constituent services. I have my doubts. After sending numerous e-mails to the Congressman's office in search of answers for reasons as to his votes that weren't so Tea Party, I have yet to receive a single reply. I am not the only one who claims there has been a lack of effort on the Congressman's part to offer excellent constituent services. (Right Rabbi and Busplunge?)
One thing you have to understand about Congressman Long is he likes to create the illusion he is what he isn't. From "fed up" with the establishment to being "Tea Party," Long's rhetoric is usually a contradiction of what is going on behind the curtain. So his claim that people are happy with his constituent services comes with some questions. From Twitter:
Lots of great comments about how helpful our District Offices & DC office have been to constituents - GREAT TO HEAR - Thank you staff!!!
Let's flashback to a couple months ago when Billy Long was nowhere to be found on the House floor during the reading of the Constitution, and once concerned constituent asked, "where's Billy?" The representative of Long's office wasn't very professional.
