Billy Long on Obama's Attack on Libya: Fails to Stand for Constitutional Principles Again

Remember all those early reports printed about Billy Long, his Tea Party convictions, and his pocket Constitution? Let me refresh your memory paraphrasing some quotes.

I was tea party before tea party was cool.

Or how about this one:

My pocket Constitution is rode hard and put up wet.

So if this is the case, why is the only thing I have seen Congressman Long say about Obama's unconstitutional attack on Libya, providing the federal government is to provide a military for the common defense (and America is not at risk with the situation in Libya) is this stupid quote:

"I'm like Will Rogers--all I know is what I read in the paper."

Long told KZRG in Joplin this after he was asked about Obama's decision to attack Libya with Tomahawk cruise missiles. Long admitted he was frustrated that Obama has left Congress out of his decision to attack Libya. "Barack Obama has not talked to Congress about the activities in Libya."

Ah Geez Billy! If you had really been reading your Constitution like you told your constituents, you would know Obama is way out of line and you would have engaged in a conversation with KZRG telling constituents that Obama has once again abused his powers of his office. Of course, when it comes to abusing the powers of an office, Long has no problem with that either.

Billy, you promised us common sense in Washington and once again we see your unfamiliarity with the very foundation of our federal government, the Constitution, isn't mixed with your common sense. (Or is that lack of common sense?)

Long went on to say anybody would be better than Obama as president. Ah gee Billy, tell me something I don't know while excluding yourself from that group of better than Obama. You both are a couple of dolts in my opinion.
