Billy Long's Clueless Buddy Sarah Steelman Announces 2012 Senate Bid

Seriously, is this the best the Republican party can do? If Sarah Steelman is the candidate, Claire McCaskill will win reelection. Let's hope a true conservative will challenge her in the Republican primary. DeceptiCON Sarah Steelman, the woman who lied to us about Billy Long being a political outsider who wasn't influenced by special interest, has thrown her hat into the US Senate race to challenge Claire Mama Casskill (Claire McCaskill).

Before we get into this, let's take a look at Sarah Steelman, a woman who was obviously as clueless as Billy Long on free trade.



Steelman said during her announcement, ""I want to do my part in fighting for America’s future. That's why I have decided to run for the United States Senate."

Then perhaps you should stay at home Ms. Steelman. We have enough DeceptiCONs in the United States Senate, which we definitely saw yesterday with the passage of the SB 510.

We can expect Steelman to run a maverick campaign, and no doubt she will claim she is Tea Party and perhaps fed up as well. She has proven incapable of winning a primary in the past, and her own personal desire for political power weakened the Republican ticket against Jay Nixon in 2008.

Steelman irked party leaders by running a primary challenge to U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof, who had the support of most Republican elites to replace Matt Blunt in the governor's mansion.

Hulshof defeated Steelman in a nasty primary, but, by then, his resources were so taxed that any chance he had of defeating Jay Nixon in the general election were greatly diminished.
