Obama is Forcing GOP to Vote for More Federal Debt: GOP Breaks Pledge to America with Obama Compromise

It was strange suddenly to hear Obama call for tax cuts yesterday. Oh the headlines in the news are exciting right. Tax cuts, bipartisanship, and politicians in Washington DC singing the Coke song together.

Oh, but the GOP has made the deal with the devil. You see, Obama is calling for more welfare with an increase in unemployment benefits as he guts the income coming into a broken Social Security system. This is going to force Republicans early on to vote to raise the debt ceiling past $14 trillion to meet Obama's demands. Gee, how quickly the Republicans compromise not just with Obama but on their promises to you.

Yes the tax cuts are important, but their compromise ensures more federal spending. Currently we are $513 billion away from the current debt ceiling, so it will be one of the first things the new fed up with Washington republicans like Billy Long are going to have to vote on.

What Obama did was craft an increase in federal spending that he will soon blame on the GOP. The Republicans bought into it. The unemployment extension alone will place this country $200 billion more in spending, and the GOP hasn't committed to any serious spending cuts. No, earmarks are serious spending cuts. What Obama did was force the GOP to increase the federal debt by $700 billion to save the Bush Tax Cuts.

Two years from now, Obama will run against the GOP on this note claiming the Bush Tax Cuts failed and this is the GOP's mess.
