Cap and Trade may soon include the federal government monitoring the exhaust system on your car. That's right, if your car puts out too much CO2, you may soon be getting a bill from the federal government just like corporations may soon receive under Obama's tyranny that bypassed the US Senate and gave the EPA the authority to carry out carbon limits.
Now the next generation cap and trade rule may soon follow the same path. Detroit News reports:
Washington— A House panel approved a bill to block the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating tailpipe emissions — but the measure’s future is uncertain.
The bill sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Rep. Ed Whitfield, R-Ky., would overturn a 2007 Supreme Court decision that said the EPA has the legal right to regulate tailpipe emissions as a danger to public health under the Clean Air Act.
The committee’s Energy and Power subcommittee, after two hours of debate, approved the measure by a voice vote. House Republicans are putting the measure on a fast track, with opening statements planned for Monday by the full committee and a vote by the full House later this month.
I wonder what Constitutional rule gives our federal government any authority to measure CO2 output on your car? I am not sure how our "conservative" leaning Supreme Court came up with this decision. You have to ask, Congress didn't pass cap and trade, but Obama's EPA is enforcing it, so why would it matter if Congress passes this? If Obama and EPA want to regulate your CO2 output on your car, they will follow the same path they did after Cap and Trade failed to get out of the Senate.
