Obama's Bureau of Labor Statistics has taken the dark art of propaganda to new lows with it's latest "unemployment report". BLS claims the UE rate is 8.9%, the lowest since April 2009 but there's a darker side to this fable: Gallup claims the UE rate is 10.3% and is actually higher now than it was last year so the question remains: who do you trust? Well if you want an explanation for the discrepancy and a window to the truth, here is Tyler Durden from the economic site ZeroHedge:
Wonder why the unemployment rate is at an artificially low 8.9%? Three simple words: Labor Force Participation. At 64.2%, it was unchanged from last month, and continues to be at a 25 year low. Should the LFP return to its 25 trendline average of 66.1%, the unemployment rate would be 11.6%. And indicatively, the Birth/Death adjustment was +112,000. |
The cleptocrats in Mordor on the Potomac River have not stopped their plunder of our wealth and Ben BernYankMe has not stopped destroying it with "quantitative easing". until that happens (and who is going to do make THAT happen) these numbers will not improve.
